Horseback riding in Muğla
On the map of a Muğla holiday, Dalyan is a frequent stop. There are boats, İztuzu, Kaunos and horses — all in the same landscape. If you are looking for a calm ride rather than a fast safari, Çandır is the place to come.
Jeep and boat are other things; horseback riding here, with a guide. The lake, the spa, the combination of the two, or a short ride on a farm. There are separate notes for Köyceğiz, Ortaca, and Dalaman – they all come to the same place, Çandır. We’re not in Bodrum, in the center of Menteşe; this article is for those who have ended up in this corner of the delta on a holiday in Muğla.
If you are coming for a day trip, don’t load up on the Kaunos hike, İztuzu, and the three-hour combined tour on the same day. The road is already there. The lake or the spa is more comfortable for that window. Eat breakfast not on the road, but before you leave; have a coffee in the village on the way back, then go home or to the hotel. It’s good to leave early in the summer to avoid being on the road in the midday heat.
If you are staying in Dalyan, the work is easier: you just need to cross the canal, which takes fifteen to twenty minutes. For those coming from the Fethiye-Marmaris route, there is a day trip note. Köyceğiz · Ortaca · Dalaman
