One day from Fethiye or Marmaris

It’s about an hour by car from Fethiye to Dalyan. Marmaris is a bit longer, about ninety kilometers. Some people leave in the morning, ride a horse in Çandır, and return by the evening. The road requires an early departure after breakfast; to avoid being on the road during the hottest part of the day. On the way back, there’s a stop in the village, then the hotel — that rhythm doesn’t tire you out.

The time spent on the road is added to the tour. Do not load the Kaunos hike, İztuzu, and the three-hour combined tour on the same day. The lake or spa is more comfortable for a day trip. The farm can accommodate a short stay, especially if you are coming with children. The “Since we’ve come, let’s do it all” feeling is understandable; that list gets eroded on the field.

Fethiye has its own islands, Marmaris has its own pace. Dalyan is a different geography: a delta, a canal, Çandır. Some people say “it’s close” once they see it, while others say “it’s far”. As for us, have breakfast on the road, get some water, turn on the air conditioning in the summer. Write down the time, and let’s talk about the weather and the group that day.
