Riding at the farm

You don’t have to go to the four and a half kilometre pond every day. Sometimes just approaching the horse, a few laps in the carriage, a short ride is enough. Children often start this way. Adults who have never ridden do too. When it’s raining, windy, or when someone says, “Let’s not make it too long today,” the farm becomes a day in itself.

The pace is slow. Stay with the instructor. The horse is in its natural state: its breath, its posture, that little greeting. If there is fear, you can say so, and it will be part of that day. No one is forcing you to “go to the track.” First this, then the lake — it’s not a matter of pride, it’s a matter of condition.

The return from Dalyan is always the same: by canal, by short walk, or by transfer. If the kids are tired of the pool, and the adults want to keep it short, this is the softest option on the list.
